The two resistance theory divides our scenario into three sections

1. Transfer mass from bulk conditions to interfacial surface
2. Transfer across the interface into the second phase
3. The Transfer to the bulk condition of second phase

The two assumptions made by Whitman, when developing this model were:

1. The rate of transfer between two phases is controlled by the rates of diffusion through the phases on either side of the interfacial surface.
2. No resistance is offered to diffusing components across the surface.

The example considers liquid - gas model. With the following parameters:

pA,G – Partial pressure of bulk gas composition
pA,i – Partial pressure of interfacial gas composition
cA,L – concentration of bulk liquid
cA,i – concentration of interfacial liquid

will finish it tomorrow... forgot the dalton- rauos law
